Log burner installation with solid oak
This was a project to create a solid oak feature mantle for a new log burner.

The project
The walls were not the best so we reboarded the full wall and then the new solid oak beam was installed using stainless steel threaded bar and resin.
All work was carried out to the latest building regs regarding the installation of logburners with fire rated inset panels and new double insulated flue.
The beam was wrapped in clingfilm and the walls were then plastered.
The walls were painted , new skirtings fitted and then we put in a new hearth ready for the log burner.
The room now had an amazing funtional focal point and the large log burner
