Wow , what a week to schedule in a fencing project. The weather has been in the minus temperatures with intermittent spells of snow. We took down all the old fencing and posts and put in new timber posts. The new fencing was installed with a new gate and lock. Our client was very happy with the end result.
Sloping wheelchair ramp with resin finish and garden works. This project was to install a permanent wheelchair ramp and also create an easier to maintain front garden. The turf and soil was removed along with the 4ft high hedge and a weed membrane laid. The ramp area was shuttered and prepared for the concrete which will be finished in a silver grey resin finish.
Rustic brick and wood framed porch designed and built by Arbcreative. This project was to replace the old canopy style porch area for something a little more grand. This project is part of other exterior work we are completing at the property. The lawned area was removed and granite chipping were laid and we have also lowered the front door to allow for easier wheelchair access. The concreted slope will be finished in a silver /grey resin .
This project was to build a large pet enclosure and play area for our clients indoor cats that just love to be outside. The enclosure panels are pre assembled using 50mm x 50mm treated timber, stained with a waterproof woodstain and then a heavy guage fox proof mesh stapled on. These panels willl then be assembled on site and fixed to the 4″ x 4 ” posts that we have already pre installed. Our enclosures provide a very safe, stimulating enviroment for your loved pets with 24 -7 access should you choose with access via a cat flap through the house brickwork. Due to the inclement weather here in the UK , we have been installing our enclosures with a heavy duty perspex corrugated roof which will keep the worst of the weather out so your pet can use it all year round.
Building a stud partition wall and plastering a living room. This was a joinery project were the client wanted to seperate the hallway from their living room. The clients front door entrance led directly into the living room area which during the winter months led to a very cold living room everytime the front door was opened. A stud partition wall was built to section off the living room from the hallway and staircase. We also fitted a new door frame and hung a new pine door. The full room was fully skimmed and a new feature oak mantle installed over the fire place. We also fitted new pine picture rail and 7 ” skirting to to finish the room.
Over the past few years we have done a number of these feature fireplace oak beam mantle installations. This fireplace was opened up, new lintle installed and the solid oak beam fixed to the brickwork. The walls will then be reboarded and plastered. The inside of the chimney will have fire retardent board installed ready for the new log burner. The living room has had a new stud wall built to seperate the living room from the main entrance and the room will be plastered throughout.
Dog and pet wash station complete with Mira electric shower. This project was to construct a dog washing station complete with Mira electric shower for our clients pets. The dog wash area was constructed using a shower tray and water proofed using easy clean white acrylic sheeting. The dwarf wall was built and tiled on the exterior and surround to make keeping it clean easier. A 10 kw Mira elctric shower was installed so the pampered pets can have a lovely warm shower should they get dirty in the winter months. Arbcreative can build bespoke dog and pet wash stations in various designs to suit your loved pets. Shower areas can be fully tiled if required.
This was a project to create a solid oak feature mantle for a new log burner. The walls were not the best so we reboarded the full wall and then the new solid oak beam was installed using stainless steel threaded bar and resin. All work was carried out to the latest building regs regarding the installation of logburners with fire rated inset panels and new double insulated flue. The beam was wrapped in clingfilm and the walls were then plastered. The walls were painted , new skirtings fitted and then we put in a new hearth ready for the log burner. The room now had an amazing funtional focal point and the large log burner
Another great project we have just completed. A bespoke cat enclosure complete with climbing areas and a part fibreglass roof so it can be used whatever the weather. The enclosure is built using 50 mm x 50 mm treated timber and galvanised steel mesh. It is a secure run with a fibre glass opaque part roof to allow the run to be used in all weathers and access is via a lockable cat flap. The enclosure can have more panels added to create more play areas for your loved pets to explore and best of all they are in a safe environment. The inside of the enclosure has numerous shelved areas for the cat to explore and climb.
