Building work progress – Completed project Holderness Road extension. This build really does look amazing with the open plan design with modern design kitchen.
Gloss white Kitchen installations with granite work surfaces. Beautiful gloss white kitchen installation we recently completed on Sutton Trust estate in Hull. The design is very understated with handleless gloss white doors which contrast with the gloss finish granite work tops. The kitchen features a modern ceramic hob with a glass fronted extractor and the latest single oven with a matching microwave.
Bespoke exterior wooden door installation. Another aspect of our work on this project was to take out the old box sash windows and lower brickwork . We then installed these amazing wooden French doors.
Final Building control inspection done, everything ok and permission to crack on getting the building fully watertight. Once the building was tiled we installed the new upvc windows and also the Velux roof window. The roof tiles we used are a modern concrete alternative and look and feel like slate but without the weight. Electrics were installed and all the pipe work for water supply and central heating laid to the new extension. The inside walls were then boarded and plastered. We installed the fascia and soffit boards, gutter and installed the drains for the drainpipe and kitchen sink.
Single storey extension project. Week 1 Our new project is to build a single storey extension. Our first job was to demolish the old outbuildings, toilet and old coal house and remove all the rubble. The external walls were made secure and weather proofed ready for the build to start. Toilet waste pipe was capped off and cables made safe then we marked out for the footings. Week 2 Digging out for the foundations. Due to a main sewer pipe running under the proposed extension we needed to dig below the pipe and shutter up so that the new foundations could run below the pipe. Week 3 Setting out for the brickwork and getting the brickwork up to damp proof course ready for building control inspection. week 4 Once the brickwork was up to damp proof course, we were given the all clear by building control to […]
I must admit its been a very tiring week so far, all velux windows are now fitted, the ceiling has been re-boarded and the loft space insulated. We have also fitted new double glazed French doors leading to the garden, complete with cat flap access and also a new kitchen upvc window. We decided early on in the project to leave as much of the old kitchen in place to minimise disruption although we have removed wall cupboards to make it easier to plaster the ceiling.
We ve got three out of four velux roof windows fitted and finally got the supporting steel in position. All ready for the building control visit, a very productive week .
