The original conservatory was taken down and the foundations had to be removed with a breaker and mini digger. Lots of physical hard work was needed to break up and remove over twenty tonnes of concrete and soil which had to be moved by wheel barrow from the back of the house to the skip at the front.
One of our clients wanted a luxury country style kitchen for their 300 year old farmhouse in a village just outside of Driffield, East Yorkshire. This is a diary of how the work is progressing. Before work could commence we employed a structural engineer to advise on the placement of a steel beam and new lintels as we needed to remove some walls to accommodate the new kitchen layout. Quality bespoke wrought iron fencing is the latest project we have been asked to provide. The ground works entailed the removal of established fir trees and digging out of tarmac/concrete so the posts could be cemented in. The overall effect created more light into the garden and somewhere safe for the clients dogs to roam.
